1. Introduction Atraumatic hip pain is a common reason for paediatric musculoskeletal consultation, with an estimated incidence of 148 per 100,000 children annually [1], mainly affecting children aged 3 to 10 years [2] . While transient synovitis is the most frequent cause, the differential of hip pain is broad, ranging from benign self-limiting conditions to serious pathologies such as infection, inflammatory disease, or malignancy.
