We didn't have a newspaper in high school.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
There are actually two. One, The Endless Wait, a photography project about the resilient struggle of Kashmiri women who's loved ones disappeared in the last three decades of the conflict in Kashmir. The project was supported by Magnum Foundation and published by The New York Times. Second, a first person piece on what it means to be a journalist working in a conflict zone where you report the death and suffering of your own people. The article was carried by Al-Jazeera.

Be compassionate.
