BOSSIER CITY, La. -A public works fee that increased in Bossier City in February still has citizens talking six months later—and not always in a good way. Bossier City Council members wanted to clear up some confusion, so they held a public workshop Monday night. The public works fee used to be called a beautification fee and was assessed based on the number of water meters on a property. The revenue was to cover costs for beautification, trash pickup, and mosquito and animal control.
