It is finally that time of year when we say goodbye to nippy and bleak winters and open the windows to welcome some warmth. It is also the season when half the world buckles down to the annual deep-cleaning ritual—spring cleaning. Historically, the concept of spring cleaning is said to have originated in Persia. People in Iran would thoroughly clean their houses just before Nowruz, the Persian New Year. A similar tradition is observed in other parts of the world.

It’s 12:45 a.m. The doorbell would ring any moment now. I’m in the kitchen, collecting a plate and two small bowls. I start looking for the fancy tray. This tray could easily call itself royalty, with its unconventional shape, dark color, and dull gold handles. My mom keeps this tray for the guests. I’m going to be the guest today. Maybe I’ll make tea. I turn around to see my brother, Abdullah. He did not ring the doorbell, as expected. He is already in the kitchen doorway with my paratha rolls.

Abstract Objective: To compare the technique of total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) and laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy (LAVH) in order to identify the procedure with better outcome. Study Design: Prospective Comparative study. Setting: Northwest General Hospital and Research Center and Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar. Period: 1st Jan, 2018 till 31st Dec, 2022.
