ZFTA–RELA ependymomas make itaconate to epigenetically drive fusion expression - Nature
Abstract ZFTA–RELA+ ependymomas are malignant brain tumours defined by fusions formed between the putative chromatin remodeller ZFTA and the NF-κB mediator RELA1. Here we show that ZFTA–RELA+ cells produce itaconate, a key macrophage-associated immunomodulatory metabolite2. Itaconate is generated by cis-aconitate decarboxylase 1 (ACOD1; also known as IRG1). However, the production of itaconate by tumour cells and its tumour-intrinsic role are not well established.

Harken! Father Time is an Impatient Man (And the Room Echoes)
A collection of meditations on a pressing matter Each day, when I awake, I damn the man I most disdain. He is the man whose bellows echo in the chambers I dwell. He is a lousy, moody brood too far beyond his youth to not be faulted — this is why I damn him daily. From thoughts profound he becomes as arrogant a man of his means can be. Yet from his years of fantasy turned to naught, he is plagued with the thought of the time he let rot.

Driving Value: The Role of Finances in Corporations Little Rock, 1971 — The young and enterprising Yale graduate, Frederick Smith, had recently returned to the United States after serving two tours in Vietnam. The former marine once wrote an economics term paper in 1965 arguing that delivering systems were not sufficiently meeting the demand for speed or reliability and proposed a revolutionary way to remedy this issue. Six years later, Smith realized this opportunity.
Fiscal Policy: How Government Finances Shape the Future
New York City, 1790 — Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton braved the frigid January air on his way to Federal Hall. With him was his 40,000-word manifesto, the First Report on Public Credit. The report detailed proposals such as the federal government’s assumption of state debts and the imposition of taxes on domestically produced distilled spirits. Hamilton’s Second Report on Public Credit, released in December that same year, outlined the establishment of a national bank.
Behind the Vault: A Beginner’s Guide to Banking
Behind the Vault: A Beginner’s Guide to Banking San Francisco — On Tuesday night, Gregory Becker, bold and bullish as he was, delivered a message of confidence to investors: the tech industry had a bright future, and the firm he was CEO of, Silicon Valley Bank, had an even brighter one. The following morning, Becker’s firm announced $1.8 billion in losses and proposed a plan (albeit a hurried one) to raise $2.25 billion in capital. But it was too late for recovery.

5 Truths You Need to Understand to Create a Successful Online Business
#2 Build the foundation Two years ago, I got the idea for my first online business, an eCommerce brand that sold eco-friendly products — The Earth Store. At 19 years old, I used the money I saved from working at Panera Bread and got to work without delay. But as a naïve entrepreneur, I made multiple missteps early on. Some of the most prominent issues with the business initially were devastatingly low average order value, an eye sore of a website, and only a vague business plan.
