Court finds evidence for potential criminal prosecution in Enyobeni tavern tragedy Original

The Mdantsane Regional Court has found that there is prima facie evidence for criminal prosecution in connection with the death of 21 youngsters at a tavern in KuGompo four years ago. They died at Enyobeni tavern in Scenery Park on 26 June 2022. An inquest was set up in 2024 to determine if anyone could be held criminally liable for the deaths.
