How is social media changing news?

Social media is completely transforming how we consume and interact with news — and honestly, it’s a double-edged sword. On one hand, it’s made news faster and more accessible. I can find out what’s happening in real-time from people actually on the ground, not just traditional newsrooms. It’s also more interactive — I can comment, share, or engage with others instantly, which creates conversations around issues that might’ve once gone unnoticed. But on the flip side, it’s also made it easier for misinformation and bias to spread. Not all content is fact-checked, and with algorithms feeding us what we already agree with, we can easily get trapped in echo chambers. That’s why I try to cross-check sources and follow accounts that value credibility.

What's your favorite social network?

ChatGPT said: My favorite social network is definitely LinkedIn. As an MBA student in Washington, DC, balancing my studies with private tutoring and volunteer work, LinkedIn gives me the perfect space to grow professionally, connect with like-minded people, and share what I’m passionate about. I use it to highlight my experiences, learn from others in my field, and stay inspired by the incredible work being done in business, education, and service.

Who do you wish followed you?

If I could choose who followed me, I’d wish for thoughtful, driven leaders who inspire me — like Indra Nooyi, Melinda Gates, or Sheryl Sandberg. As someone pursuing my MBA in Washington, DC, while tutoring and staying active in volunteer work, I look up to women who’ve made a real impact in business and society. Their journeys, insights, and values reflect the kind of path I’m working toward — one that blends leadership, purpose, and service.
