Oviedo asked artists to compete to design a new mural celebrating the city’s 100th anniversary, but was dismayed to find that many of the submitted designs appeared to be AI-generated, including one featuring a bird-headed turtle. The city is reopening the contest, with an important new rule: The designs need to be human-made.
