Introduction Nurses play a vital role in delivering comprehensive care, supporting recovery, and improving health outcomes. Competence is a fundamental component of high-quality care, and it integrates knowledge, skills, critical thinking, and professionalism for safe, effective decision-making (). Competence is built through formal education, clinical experience, and continuous learning. Competent nurses are better equipped to provide safe, adaptive, and collaborative care (; ).
