The students at The Green School Bangalore (TGSB) are all set to celebrate Navaratri with their handmade dolls crafted from recycled materials. The class 3-9 students of the school have been busy for the past 15 days making Gombes of Durga, Seetha, Rama, and Ravana for the Navaratri festival followed by Dasara in the next two days.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Stories that are pitched to be published show have news value, human interest and a spark that can grab the attention of the readers/listeners. This is how I prefer a story to be pitched.

Why did you become a journalist?

For the freedom of speech and expression. In india, media though functions in coersive manner, has the freedom of speech and expression which the majority of the population of India is denied from. I believe a journalist has a special power to talk about the pain and the suffering of any human irrespective caste and creed and make a change.
