Staff turnover refers to the leaving of current employees and the arrival of new employees in a short period of time. This swinging door of workers often signifies that employers are having trouble retaining their employees and thus need to keep bringing new people on board. This can result in high costs when it comes to training and a lack of reliable staff. There are many reasons why businesses have trouble retaining employees, some of which they might not even be aware.

If recent findings from the Prevent Cancer Foundation are any indication, reminding men to take charge of their health is a badly needed message: Over 20 percent of men aren’t even scheduling their own doctor’s appointments. That’s according to the Foundation’s annual Early Detection Survey, where nearly one in 5 men self-reported that a relative or partner usually schedules their health care appointments. Many others are simply not going to the doctor. The significance of this is profound.

“It is important to maintain and preserve the skin barrier to keep the good things in and bad things out,” says Melissa Kanchanapoomi Levin, M.D., a consulting dermatologist for Strivectin, says. “The skin barrier and the microbiome act like a shield that protects the body against aggressions.
