Tilly, a dietitian and culinary student, loves cooking and entertaining and dreamed of growing fresh herbs and produce to use in her meals. The balcony had great bones, but it wasn't living up to its potential. The first change was also the simplest: adding more plants. Instead of lots of small pots, Costa and Sophie brought in a handful of larger feature plants, including a bottle tree, lemon myrtle and bay tree.

Orchard Update - Gardening Australia

Sophie’s orchard is now almost complete, with 24 deciduous fruit trees selected for their resilience and suitability to the hot, dry environment. The varieties include plums, prunes, figs, peaches, nectarines, apples, pears, loquats and an incoming mulberry, while other fruits like feijoas and pomegranates are planted elsewhere on the property.
