Interview
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
It has to be Clark Kent and it's an honor when people compare me to him.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Asana, Emaki, Google Docs, and Grammarly.
Why did you become a journalist?
I wanted to entertain and inform people. There's satisfaction in promoting healthy conversations, and watching as people ask "This exists?"
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes, I was a critic for movies, TV, and video games.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
The same advice that was given to us by Gay Talese. When Frank Sinatra has a "cold," find another angle.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Any time, I'm open to ideas and I understand inspiration can strike at any time.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
On an adventure, life's too short and the world is too big to be trapped inside.
