Alopecia is a skin disease characterized by excessive or abnormal hair loss and a reduced amount of hair. Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is the most common type of chronic hair loss [1]. More than 50 % of individuals suffer from hair loss, with its prevalence increasing with age [2]. While AGA is not life-threatening, it significantly impacts the psychological well-being of patients and reduces their quality of life due to changes in appearance [3].
