Having begun my journalistic career in 1972 as Youth Correspondent in All India Radio, I joined Press Trust of India (PTI) news agency in 1976 having completed my Masters in History from Delhi University in 1974.
I worked in PTI till 2005 during which period I covered major events ranging from 1982 Asian Games, 1984 Non-aligned nations Summit and Commonwealth Heads of Government Summit in New Delhi. From 1984 to 1985 I was in Kuala Lumpur as part of the PTI to help Malaysian news agency Berna…
