Testing the efficacy of surface swab sampling to determine postmortem submersion interval (PMSI), using the microbiome colonization of skeletal remains
Bacterial communities varied between lentic and lotic environments and among bone sample types. Accurate PMSI models for 0–4500 ADD were constructed using bone surface swabs. Benthic substrate bacteria likely influence the external community structure of swabbed bones. Bone surface swabbing provides a highly replicable method for microbial succession and PMSI studies.

Writing and finding the truth is my ikigai - which loosely translated to work solidified into purpose.
