What does it mean to be a journalist?
You must maintain skepticism, question authority, and tell the truth even when you don't like it.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Via e-mail. We can exchange phone numbers when I have an ongoing relationship with a productive PR firm or professional.

I do not love any of them. I use Twitter the most.

Why did you become a journalist?
It was my first love in high school and college, but I took a 20-year detour.

Yes. Reporter and Copy Editor for Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, Ca.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My complete COVID catalog that began in 2020.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Too many to count. I work with some great PR professionals.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
Mostly when readers put me on their daily distribution lists. too long and often questionable sources.
What's your favorite drink?
All kinds of tea. I make my own.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In the kitchen or out on a bike ride.
