GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - The heat is rolling on with highs in the 80s for the remainder of the week. Many dry hours are expected on Wednesday but storms will begin rolling through by 4pm. Strong storms will be possible throughout the evening with hail and gusty winds being the main hazards of concern. After the front passes, we’ll get the wind back out of the north for Thursday.

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - We’ll keep going with the trend of 80s into Tuesday. Tuesday will be the 5th consecutive 80+ while our normal high this time of year is just 76. Once the cold front passes, highs will return to the 60s and 70s for the rest of the week. The Storm Prediction Center has all of Eastern Carolina in a ‘Marginal’ risk for strong storms on Tuesday. Mostly we’ll be getting gusty up to 40mph with some of the storms that roll through.

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Temperatures will quickly improve this week. We’ll start off Tuesday very cold but then we’ll recover nicely as we climb into the 50s for the afternoon. As the wind increases Wednesday, expect temperatures to soar easily into the 60s and then surge to 70+ on Thursday. Unfortunately, the 70s will also support more cloud cover which indicates our approaching front. Thursday night into Friday morning rain will spread across the region.
