Bay County car theft suspect still at large after pursuit

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – Local law enforcement is actively looking for a suspect who stole two vehicles and led deputies on a high-speed pursuit on Monday morning in Bay County. According to Bay County Sheriff’s officials, around 9 a.m., deputies attempted to stop a vehicle that was reported stolen. The suspect did not stop, beginning a high-speed pursuit. Officials said the suspect then crashed the vehicle at the Wyndham Hotel in Panama City Beach and shortly after stole another vehicle.

Traffic crash causes delays on Hwy 20 in Freeport

According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on Highway 20 between Joe Campbell Road and U.S. 331 South. Deputies and Walton County Fire Rescue are currently on scene. Drivers are asked to use extreme caution when traveling in the area. Heavy congestion can be expected.

Woman fatally stabbed at a Panama City motel, suspect arrested

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – A suspect is in custody after a woman was stabbed to death at a Panama City motel on Monday morning. According to the Panama City Police Department, shortly after 2 a.m., officers received a call regarding a physical altercation at Suburban Studios Motel, located at 4432 U.S. Highway 98. It was reported that upon arrival, officers found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
