Cirque du Soleil is back! I had a chance to take in ECHO last night at Places des Festival, Zibi in Gatineau, and what a joyful and wondrous experience! I’ve see several Cirque du Soleil shows in the past, so I knew what to expect… but these show always deliver surprises and I have to say… ECHO went beyond my expectations. There is a story line… but frankly, it’s abstract and fantastical and not so easy to follow… but that hardly makes a difference.

As of August 1st, it’s going to be more complicated to cross the border with a pet dog. The U.S. Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently announced that they will be updating regulations on the importation of dogs into the United States. And it’s not just importation… These regulatory changes will impact Canadians who are simply travelling back and forth to the United States with their pet dogs.

How often do you use cash these days? Do you even keep any with you in your wallet or purse? You might be surprised to know that only 10 per cent of transactions in Canada today are done using cash. In a recent online poll of some 1,500 people, commissioned by Payments Canada, pollsters found that most respondents want to keep the option to use cash – which is free from bank fees, isn’t susceptible to privacy breaches and can be used during internet outages.
