A Wind Advisory in in effect for much of southern Oklahoma through 12 am. These winds, generated by a large complex of decaying thunderstorms over north Texas, will gradually ease overnight. Rain chance overnight is 30%. However, we’re not done with our latest episode of severe weather just yet - we’ve got Monday to get through. A powerful upper-level trough will be passing over a very warm and humid air mass during the day Monday, while the dry line becomes active to our west.

A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible east of Highway 75 this evening, ending by 10 pm, most of us stay dry with a low temperature in the mid to upper 60s and very light winds. Hail is the primary threat. Saturday will be a day with potentially dangerous thunderstorms, chance 50%. This threat covers all of the News 12 viewing area, unlike this evening. Highs in the upper 80s, southerly winds of 15 to 25 mph. Saturday storm timing looks to be in the 3pm to 10 pm range.

A large rain-cooled air mass is providing a rather stable environment overnight; there’s still some chance of a few showers or non-severe thunderstorms overnight at 30%. This chance of rain ends before midnight and we may get some clearing (and some fog) for Thursday morning, Decreasing clouds Thursday, becoming sunny by afternoon, a pleasant day with highs in the lower 80s and light southwesterly wind.
