Opinion: Integration will be a key focus for social care in 2024
Steve Sawyer is the Managing Director at Access Health, Support and Care. The social care sector in the UK faces a myriad of challenges, including issues of capacity, cost, and complexity. Despite advancements in technology, there remains a digital divide in the sector, leading to inefficient, admin-heavy processes. This is particularly concerning given the increasing demand for social care services, constrained budgets, and ongoing staffing challenges.
Technology Enabled Care Will Be A Priority In 2024
Care, Care Technology, Professional Comment, Technology By Steve Sawyer, Managing Director, Access Health, Support and Care The demand for care services continues to rise. Budgets are tighter, staffing levels are difficult to maintain, and services are under greater scrutiny, and yet the health and care journey largely remains a disjointed, analogue process, with unnecessary administration and repetition.
What’s the vision for the social care journey in 2024?
Integrated care systems have matured over the last year, as have efforts to join up health and social care services. That said, there is still great variation in digital maturity between the two, with social care sadly lagging behind. The care journey is often a largely disjointed, analogue process, with unnecessary admin-heavy elements.

Dispelling the misconceptions of mobile marketing
The advertising market in APAC is booming, with total ad spend in the region expected to grow over 10 per cent to exceed $210 billion this year. In addition, China, Indonesia, India, Japan, the Philippines and South Korea all sit among the top ten global contributors to ad spend growth. Global Wind Energy Insight: Together, We Can Make It Happen
At some point in the future, the renewables industry will decide that it needs a single representative body. With more and more companies being engaged in more than one renewable technology this seems inevitable, and I am often called upon to speak on more than just wind in various political fora. While the distinction (and competition) between technologies roars on in the marketplace, officials are increasingly asking when we’re going to have a single representative voice.

The Indian market drops through the floor as procurement schemes change. On the bright side, wind and solar are hailed by all and sundry as the inevitable technology leaders going forward.
Despite Trump, 2017 should be another top year for global wind
Looking back at 2016, it’s easier to come up with a list of bad things that happened than good: Brexit, Trump and the rise of post-truth politics; the Syrian disaster, and the subsequent European bungling of the influx of refugees; and China and Russia flexing their military muscles on the borders of Europe and in the South China Sea.
