Steven Rosenfeld is a national political reporter who is now covering the intersection of technology and voting. He is a fellow at the Independent Media Institute, where his pieces appear as part of the Voting Booth project and are distributed to a range of online news outlets. With 2020's election on the horizon, he is focusing on developments that may, or may not, legitimize vote counts and results. This includes best uses of analog (paper ballots) and digital (software) to produce the most transparent and detailed public accounting of votes cast.
He is the author of a half-dozen books, with most focusing on the anti-democratic features of elections.
