The i5, iX, and i7 each lose more than two-thirds of their original value within five years. Depreciation is unavoidable when buying a new luxury vehicle, but some BMWs shed value considerably faster than others.

Despite its immense power and legitimate M hardware, the BMW XM struggled to justify its design, weight, and price. Designing a car is hard work, probably. But throughout BMW’s history, there have been periods where the brand has made it look nearly effortless.
