In the west end of Toronto on Dublin Street, an old flooring warehouse sits with the words Stone Tile still written above the garage. When Sylvia Benchimol co-founded Stone Tile in that warehouse in 1992 to support her family, she sought to build the future of luxury flooring made with premium materials in modern aesthetics while delivering superior quality and moving the design community forward. Today, her son Daniel Sultan continues that legacy as the President of Stone Tile.

Located in an exclusive Whistler, B.C. neighborhood halfway up a mountainside, this house was designed for a client from London, who enjoyed the timber structures characteristic of the typical Whistler Chalet but wanted something unique that would capture the ambience without the cookie cutter organization and aesthetic. Located on a smallish, yet prominent site, the visual mass of this large structure was diminished through making a substantial portion of the house appear below grade.
