Congenital anomalies of the pancreas arise from the failure of complete rotation and fusion during embryogenesis [3]. Pancreas divisum is the most common congenital anomaly of the pancreas that results from an abnormal fusion of the ventral and dorsal pancreatic ducts during fetal development with a reported incidence of 3.6% to 5.8% [3,4]. A complete pancreas divisum is defined as a completely separate pancreatic duct system.
