The Children's Home of Wyoming Conference teed off for a good cause today. The 21st Annual Maggie Memorial Golf Tournament was underway, bringing together local golfers, celebrities and community partners to support programs for children and families across the Southern Tier. The event honors Maggie...the late mother of former NFL Linebacker and Union-Endicott graduate Isaiah Kacyvenski...who founded and continues to partner on the tournament with the Children's Home.

As preparations are underway for next week's DICK'S Open...a dedicated team is working to ensure the wellbeing of attendees. Each year, United Health Services provides medical and emergency services, including EMS, on-site care and healthcare professionals. Prep begins right after the previous event and ramps up the week before with full set up. UHS staff say the most common issues are trips and falls, golf balls and chest pain.

The Southern Tier’s official 2026 FIFA World Cup watch party series continues this Friday as the City of Binghamton, in partnership with FOX 40, hosts its second free community event. Recreation Park on Binghamton’s West Side will welcome fans for a family-friendly afternoon. A large LED screen near the park’s bandstand will broadcast the match, with plenty of shade available under the park’s trees.
