2011 - Teaching and Learning Excellence
This unsolicited award was granted to me by students studying English, American and Australian Literature at the University of Queensland. So it was a 'win win' so to speak.
Very High Student Experience Survey Results
2019 - Online Teaching Excellence
I received a 95.7% approval rating from excellent English Literature Students who enjoyed the subject about the development of the English Novel from 18th century gothic writer Ann Radcliffe to early 20th century modernist D.H. Lawrence. Even though I had never taught this subject before and wrote lectures pretty much from scratch each week I ended up really enjoying the novels and the students responses. The subject itself was well-designed enabling be to fit into its design and precursors in Dr Joy Wallace and Dr John O'Carroll.
