The Acrisure Bounce House shakes with the excitement of students and fans during kickoff. The student section roars with energy, and you notice two girls in the front … one is dressed like former Head Coach Gus Malzahn — huh? Kaci Anderson and Taylor Hicks, who met through their sorority, share the same passion for UCF football. What began as small talk soon revealed their mutual sports knowledge, leading them to attend their first UCF football game together.

UCF men's basketball won its season opener on Monday 82-78 against Hofstra in the Addition Financial Arena. Key players included senior guard Riley Kugel who scored 19 points, junior forward Jordan Burks who put up 17 points and senior guard Themus Fulks who added 16 points. UCF scored 36 in the first half and 46 in the second while Hofstra scored 32 in the first half and 46 in the second. The Knights' next game is home on Saturday at 4 p.m. against Vanderbilt.

When most people think about where to grab a cup of coffee, usually popular chains like Starbucks or Dunkin' come to mind. Sometimes, they’ll even venture out to regional spots such as Foxtail Coffee or Dutch Bros. However, few have heard or thought about going to Cali Coffee, a growing franchise with 16 locations in the state of Florida, including one being near UCF. What started out in Hollywood, Florida, has now expanded into multiple locations across the state.
