Abstract The corrosion inhibition performance of N-(1-methylpyrrolidin-2-ylidene) benzo[d]thiazol-2-amine (MPBA) for carbon steel in 1.0 M HCl solution was systematically investigated using chemical and electrochemical techniques. The corrosion rate decreased markedly with increasing MPBA concentration. Inhibition efficiency increased progressively with inhibitor concentration, reaching values exceeding 97.0% at 5 mM and 298 K.

Abstract Corrosion of carbon steel in acidic environments represents a major challenge in many industrial operations, particularly during pickling, acidizing, mining, and cleaning processes. In this study, expired clarithromycin (CTM) was evaluated as a green corrosion inhibitor for carbon steel in 1.0 M hydrochloric acid using complementary chemical (weight loss and hydrogen evolution) and electrochemical (potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy) techniques.

Abstract The corrosion inhibition performance of expired citalopram (Cp) for carbon steel in 1.0 M HCl solution was systematically evaluated using chemical and electrochemical techniques. The corrosion rate decreased significantly with increasing Cp concentration, accompanied by a corresponding improvement in inhibition efficiency, which exceeded 92% at a Cp concentration of 0.005 M and a temperature of 25 °C.
