Franklin's US wealth head to exit firm

After more than six years with the firm, Franklin Templeton is losing its head of US wealth management. Jonathan Kingergy has decided to leave the firm to pursue a new opportunity, he said in a Monday post on his LinkedIn page. Kingery joined Franklin in February of 2019 from Lord Abbett, where he was employed for 14 years. His last role at Lord Abbett was director of institutional RIA and family offices. Franklin furthers alts push with deal for managed options boutique

Franklin Templeton is to acquire volScout, a boutique founded by Parametric veterans that specialises in managed options strategies. Terms of the deal, which comes just over two years after volScout was founded, were not disclosed. VolScout was set up and led by Brad Berggren, the founder of and at one time CEO, and CIO of Managed Risk Advisors, which was acquired by Parametric and its parent Eaton Vance and rebranded as Parametric Risk Advisors.
