HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Jeremiah Conde’s journey to becoming a nurse began when he initially was a pre-med student at Texas A&M University and wanted to work in surgery. That all quickly changed after the events of Sept. 11. He decided to enlist in the Air Force, seeking a medical position. Conde went in as a flight medic, where his exposure to flight nurses inspired him. “The training, and the camaraderie that we had, and the missions we did, changed me,” Conde said.
