Ted Nolan knows exactly who he is
Pride and Prejudice It could have easily been the title of Ted Nolan’s biography. My Life in Two Worlds: A Coach’s Journey from the Reserve to the NHL and Back encompasses the duality of his drive to show people from his world, Garden River First Nation, could succeed in another one whilst centering their Indigenous identity. A career coach who has achieved success at every level, Nolan is best known for his first tenure with the Buffalo Sabres in the 1990s.

Nolan to coach Polish national hockey team
Former Buffalo Sabres and New York Islanders bench boss Ted Nolan has been hired by the Polish Ice Hockey Federation to be the head coach of their men’s national team. The 59-year-old replaces former Poland head coach Jacek Plachta, whose contract was not renewed by the Federation. “We count on the Canadian hockey school,” Federation president Dawid Chwalka said in a release.
After Babcock snub, Sabres score on the rebound
Unlike Rex Ryan back in January when he was hired to coach the Buffalo Bills, Dan Bylsma didn't win his introductory news conference with the Buffalo Sabres. Understated doesn't do understated justice. Heck, general manager Tim Murray, who has never had a lamp shade on his head, was the life of the party at First Niagara Center in comparison.
