Teresa Powe

It seems the same bells toll every offseason and trade deadline: “Trade Mitchell Robinson; we need a bigger big.” “Trade Mitchell Robinson. We need a big who can facilitate and hit a mid-range jumper.” Really? Why does it seem I have to constantly remind Knicks Nation of who and what they have? Of who Mitchell Robinson is. Who is Mitchell Robinson? He is a 25-year-old, 7’ 0” center with a 7’4” wingspan for the New York Knicks.

It’s time, Tee. Time to write this piece and get it over with. There will be no stats. This is just you, Teresa Powe. A New York Knicks fan… I’ve lied to you all. There was a time when I had given up on my Knicks. Yes, it was after the 2000-2001 season. After Jeff Van Gundy left. When I say give up, I mean I didn’t watch every game with the attention and enthusiasm I always had. My sons were getting older, and they had their own teams. Their own special players.

The mainstream media and many on social media believe because the Knicks didn’t “blow them out” when Jimmy wasn’t playing, the Knicks can’t win this series. The Heat didn’t blow out the Knicks when Julius Randle didn’t play, either. So let’s not start the tit-for-tat because the Heat cannot measure up. The game ball… This could be for several players. Jalen Brunson was high scorer and scored 23 of his 30 points in the second half.
