MEMPHIS, TN (AZFamily) — When Katy Mortimer’s 3-year-old son Brady was diagnosed with a grapefruit-sized brain tumor, doctors gave him 30 days or less to live. Family and friends urged the Mortimers to try St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Within days, they were on their way to Memphis. “It wasn’t until we came in through the red gates of St. Jude, and there was a nurse there that knew absolutely everything about Brady,” Katy said.

The march’s goal is to raise awareness and money for March of Dimes, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health of mothers and babies. Arizona’s Family met up with one Valley family that knows the dangers of pre-term birth and explained how the nonprofit helped them in their time of need.
