Chloe
Chloe I don't think anyone has ever been prepared to be the parent of a child with special needs. When our baby was born, we couldn't help but feel like the whole world was there for her taking. She will do whatever she wants and nothing can possibly stop her. But that first week in the NICU reminded us that our baby, like everyone, was mortal. She had a pulmonary stenosis, a heart murmur, jaundice, low blood sugar, and also happened to be very small.
Off the Felt: Animal Kingdom and World Travels
Playing poker means a lot of traveling. Last week everyone (it seemed) was in Thailand. Can't blame them, it's gorgeous there, but this week everyone was scattered across the globe. There was a goat (an actual goat), a bird, some friends, a disco, and per usual - some really sick views. The bird is not impressed. Get you a robe like this. Let us take a moment to appreciate that view! Wine and sunshine and eyes for days. Sports Illustrated called and they want their Swimsuit Cover photo back.

Roberts, a local recreational player, only had about $7,400 in cashes before this week, the best of those being for $2,440 from a small turbo event at Foxwoods. It took six starting flights to build up that massive 4,515-entry field, producing a prize pool in excess of $2.3 million.

How Long Is the Long Run in Poker?
In poker, the question "How long is the long run?" often comes up when beginners are thinking about whether or not they are winners. They know that all players run hot and cold, getting lucky and unlucky. They are told not to rely on short term results when judging whether or not they are winning players. Rather they must keep good records and see how they do in the long run. But what exactly is the long run? And how will they know it when they get there?

Last year, the House passed a comprehensive gambling expansion package twice, once on its own and then again by attaching it to the local share tax fix that came from the Senate. Each time, the Senate perplexingly showed no interest in moving on internet gaming despite needing to pass legislation to fulfill the $100 million earmarked in the budget.
