Review: Family Guy “Foxx in the Men House”

Review: The Simpsons “Springfield Splendor”
This week, Marge and Lisa stretch their creative sides and enter the whimsical world of comic books. So, with last week’s episode resting firmly in the experimental, this clocks in as the first “real” episode of the season. Lisa’s suffering from a recurring nightmare, sending her to a student therapist’s office at the Springfield Community College (Which goes about as well as you can expect) but leads her to making a therapy comic to better express her feelings.

English Dub Review: In Another World With My Smartphone “Ocean, and Vacations”
Thank god in this feudal another world, all the girls are still able to get skimpy bikinis. The beach episode. Truly one of anime’s classic episode formats and in the case of today’s episode, one of the most easily exploited. Like we don’t need to sugar coat this, In Another World With My Smartphone has plenty of fan service written into it. The episode with the slime castle is more than enough proof of that.

English Dub Review: No Game, No Life The Movie: Zero
Possibly the best of the year. Set 6000 years before the series itself, No Game No Life Zero has an interesting premise. Set in a world where multiple races vie for control of the world, and their leaders desire to become “The One True God” and rule with absolute sovereignty, humans are on the brink of extinction. So they decide to use a “Dog Hotel” as a place to stay for the duration as they don’t have enough cash for a normal hotel and refuse to stay with Charlie.
Review: Mike Judge Presents Tales from the Tour Bus “George Jones and Tammy Wynette (Part 1)”
You can see where this is headed. The Adams Brothers, the same ones who did back up for Johnny Paycheck when we covered him a couple weeks back, talk about the night they quit backing up George Jones after he threw a beer bottle at Don Adams’ head. This seems a good intro as any to segue into Jones’ background in Vidor, Texas with his friend Peanutt (yes, with two T’s).

Review: Camp Camp “Night of the Living Ill”
It’s the Camp Camp Halloween special, and it’s a massive zombie movie parody. Instead of it being the zombie virus, it’s just a regular infection going around. It’s very easily transmittable and takes effect instantly (for comedic effect), and the usual groaning is everyone suffering from their symptoms. Nikki bites Ered, but she does it because she needs to be ‘in-character’, not necessarily because the disease is transmitted that way.
