Discussion We have reported the codevelopment of a complex intervention following MRC guidelines8 for complex interventions in which multiple data sources were integrated leading to the development of the ‘Diversity in Diabetes’ intervention that is both holistic and person-centred. This work took into account the personal, contextual and clinical worlds in which diabetes control behaviours are enacted, supported and sustained.
