The Caldwell County Lady Tiger basketball team will have an interim head coach in the 2026-27 season. But it’s someone familiar to the program and Caldwell fans. Malissa Thomas will get one more year as head coach of the Lady Tigers. Thomas, who is also the assistant superintendent for Caldwell Schools, stepped down from her basketball post in March. However, the school was unable to find a suitable replacement, and has named Thomas as its interim head coach for the upcoming season.

A former Caldwell County player and coach is the new baseball head coach at Graves County High School. Josh Young was announced as the Eagles’ new head coach on Thursday. “Priority No. 1 for me as a coach is to develop young men of high character and responsibility who are prepared to become successful men upon graduation and approaching adulthood,” Young said in a Graves County Schools release.
