Man Fatally Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash in Santa Maria

A 38-year-old Santa Maria man died early Monday in a single-vehicle crash in Santa Maria, according to the Santa Maria Police Department. Police officers, firefighters and other emergency personnel were dispatched shortly before 1 a.m. to the incident on the 800 block of Black Road, Sgt. Shane Armstrong said.

Santa Maria Police Investigating Shooting That Left Juvenile Critically Injured

Santa Maria Police are investigating a shooting that critically injured a juvenile Thursday afternoon. Officers responded at about 2:30 p.m. to the 500 block of South Broadway, where they found the juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Lt. Andy Magallon. The victim, whose name was not released, was taken by AMR ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center. Details on their condition were not available.
