Rock Valley was among the towns hit the hardest by flooding. We talked with homeowner Dawn DeWit a few days after the floodwaters had receded; like many, she had a lot of questions.

Cases of heat exhaustion and heat stroke are very likely for some in the coming days. Bruce and Glenda Adams are beating the heat by taking their two grandsons to the playground splash pad at Jacobsen Plaza. But when they aren’t with the kids, they have a pretty common stay cool strategy.
