Demons to honour Daniher with commemorative 'play on' jersey

Download the SEN App Your Home of Sport, In your Hand Melbourne Football Club has settled on its plans to commemorate the life of Neale Daniher this Saturday when the club hosts Essendon at the MCG. The Demons have spent two weeks brainstorming how to celebrate Daniher, who passed away in late May following a lengthy battle with Motor Neurone Disease. Melbourne's jumpers will have the former coach's initials 'ND' blazed on the front of the jumper, with '1961-2026' written underneath.

Lemongate: Fruit-throwing fan hit with significant ban

Download the SEN App Your Home of Sport, In your Hand The fan who chucked a lemon over the fence at Perth Stadium in Round 12 has been identified and banned from AFL and AFLW matches for five years. The lemon struck Eagle Reuben Ginbey after the siren and the incident was reported to the AFL integrity unit. It's understood the individual is not a West Coast, Essendon or AFL member. Social media footage released in the days following also showed the perpetrator had a second lemon in his hand.

Dillon flat bats questions from Kochie amid Tassie uncertainty

The league hosted all club CEOs and presidents at Marvel Stadium ahead of Tuesday night's Hall of Fame gala, with the AFL Commission also in attendance. The meeting ran for about an hour and was used as a means for the AFL to update clubs on various subjects, including the formation of the Devils.
