This week on Dezeen, the long-awaited Obama Presidential Center, designed by US studio Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects, was unveiled in Chicago. Built to honour former US president Barack Obama, the complex is defined by a monumental granite-clad tower. Rising to 69 metres, the granite tower, which is surrounded by low-level buildings topped with artificial hills, has a viewing area enclosed by giant letters at its peak.

Launched to mark the centenary of Antoni Gaudí's death, the Sagrada Familia set is the largest ever created by toy brand Lego. Made as part of Lego's architecture series, the replica of the cathedral in Barcelona will be made from 12,060 pieces. Lego has recreated the Sagrada Familia Sagrada Familia is the most significant building designed by Catalan architect Gaudí, who died 100 years ago in 1926.
