Vehicle crashes into pool at Smugglers’ Notch Resort

Two people escaped with minor injuries after an SUV drove through a fence and into a pool at Smugglers’ Notch Resort on Monday. According to Vermont State Police, the crash happened July 13 just after 3:30 p.m., on Mogul Mouse Drive at the Cambridge resort. Notch Road Auto tow service was summoned and removed the vehicle from the pool.

Motorcyclist killed after crashing into trees in Morristown

A motorcyclist was killed over the weekend after crashing into some trees on the side of Stagecoach Road in Morristown. According to a Morristown Police Department, the driver, Averie Lyon, 22, of Woodbury, was found just before 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 12, roughly 20 feet from the road near a fallen tree. As of Wednesday, police were still investigating the crash and did not indicate when it happened.
