Registration Open for Moscow’s Palouse Youth Triathlon

Registration is open for the City of Moscow’s Palouse Youth Triathlon. The event is on Monday, September 9th, at 9:30 a.m. at the Hamilton Lowe Aquatic Center. Children ages 5 – 14 can compete alone or in a team. Every child who finishes receives a medal and each registrant receives a t-shirt. Latah County Sheriff’s Office Alerts Public About New Scam

The Latah County Sheriff’s Office has received several reports of scammers impersonating Captain Shane Anderson. The scammers are suggesting that people have warrants, subpoenas, or need to post bail for a warrant they have. The Latah County Sheriff’s Office says they would never call for any of these reasons. Anyone who receives one of these calls and wants to check its legitimacy can contact the sheriff’s office at 208-882-2216 and speak to a dispatcher.
