Off The Map By Trish Doller
Off the Map by Trish Doller This book messed me up. Yes, I read it while I was going through a rough time, but the point stands: this is an emotionally intense book. The problem is that it is so well-written that it’s also un-put-downable so the emotional intensity is unrelenting. Carla is filled with wanderlust. She works in a bar to save up money and then travels the world in the Jeep her father gave her when he was diagnosed with dementia.

Review - Float Plan, The Suite Spot, & Off the Map
Posted March 6, 2023 by Carole in Reviews / 13 Comments Float Plan by Trish Doller Narrator: Sarah Naughton Published by Macmillan Audio on March 2, 2021 Genres: Fiction / Romance / Contemporary Length: 7 hours 18 minutes Pages: 272 Format: Audiobook Source: Library Goodreads Amazon | Audible | B&N | Kobo | Libro.fm I had such a good time with this romance! Anna is still grieving the loss of her fiance when she decides to take their boat on the trip that they had planned.
THE SUITE SPOT by Trish Doller Read by Sarah Naughton
Sarah Naughton's empathetic narration gives listeners a cozy seat in Rachel's cabin on Lake Erie. She has uprooted herself and her daughter, Maisy, from Florida and is settling into a new job at an Ohio brewery/inn. When she meets her new employer, Mason, she develops an instant attraction. In her narration, Naughton ensures that Rachel sounds like a modern woman whose maternal feelings and personal ambition in the hospitality industry are well balanced.
FLOAT PLAN by Trish Doller Read by Sarah Naughton
In this story about love, loss, and second chances, narrator Sarah Naughton delivers clever dialogue, heartwarming wisdom, heart- breaking pain, and life-affirming humor. Lovely Anna takes her late fiancé's sailboat on the trip he had planned to the Caribbean. Recognizing that she can't sail the boat alone, she hires hunky Irish sailing professional Keene, a man who is dealing with a loss of his own. Naughton narrates with just the right tone, enthusiasm, and grace.

Review by Jill N, Reviewer Last updated on 03 Mar 2021 My Recommendation Ten months after Anna Beck came home to find that her fiancé had taken his own life, she decides to take action. They had made plans. Ben had bought a sailboat and they were going to sail through the Caribbean together. Ben had it all charted out, all the stops, all the adventures. And then his depression overtook him, and he wasn’t there to take the trip. But Anna is still alive, and she needs to do something with her grief.

Review: Something Like Normal by Trish Doller
Review: Something Like Normal by Trish Doller 13th Jun 2012 Jess @ Gone with the Words Book Reviews What has stuck with me most about Something Like Normal has been how real these characters and story are. They feel like a part of me. Like I know Travis, or like I am Harper. And I think what it is is the fact that we probably all know someone like Travis. In almost every generation there have been people from our lives who have fought in some war.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Read In 2012 18th Dec 2012 Jess @ Gone with the Words Other Bookish Posts Although the year is not over, I wanted to participate anyway, because lets face it: it is AWESOME talking about our favorite books! And narrowing it down to a list of ten is always so hard and so amazing. I do plan to read a few more books before the end of the year, but honestly, it’s going to be tough to top what I’ve already read so far. Amazingness.
Top Ten Tuesday: Books That Made Me Cry
Top Ten Tuesday: Books That Made Me Cry 3rd Feb 2014 Jess @ Gone with the Words Other Bookish Posts Soooo the reason I changed this from Books That Will Make You Cry to Books That Made Me Cry is because I don’t really know how sensitive you are. Me? I’m SUPER sensitive. There’s always something, some emotion or act, that makes me shed a tear or straight up bawl like a baby. “I’m Not Crying…” These next six books brought tears to my eyes for similar reasons.

Review: Where the Stars Still Shine by Trish Doller
Review: Where the Stars Still Shine by Trish Doller 23rd Sep 2013 Jess @ Gone with the Words Book Reviews There’s such authenticity to Trish Doller’s voice. I mean, damn! This story felt SO real!! I always feel like her characters are so perfectly real in all of their imperfect glory. I don’t ever feel like they are going through motions intended by their creator, but that they are recounting their stories with us, their good friends.

The best romance books with mental health representation
Who am I? I was first diagnosed with an anxiety disorder at the age of twelve. Since then, I’ve also received diagnoses of ADHD and Autism, both of which are central facets to who I am and how my brain processes the world around me. I’ve always been vocal about my struggles and successes with my mental health, and seeing that representation in novels is crucial.
