My pen has covered a lot of ground — from failed justice in small-town Arkansas to new frontiers in the Gulf Coast seafood industry. The stories I most like to write, however, always seem to involve food — as sustenance, as metaphor and as common ground. These days, I write a lot about how technology, climate change and population growth are changing the way we produce and consume food.
