GLASTONBURY, Conn. — Dozens of local veterans and their families gathered at Killam & Bassette Farmstead in Glastonbury Sunday for a special evening centered on gratitude, connection and community. Nearly 50 veterans from across Connecticut were treated to a free dinner. Christine Bassette, Co-owner of Killam & Bassette Farmstead, said the event was made possible through a community-wide effort to give back to local veterans to show their appreciation for those who served the country.
