The combination of sharing Vankleek Hill’s history and welcoming visitors to town continues this summer at the Vankleek Hill Museum and Tourist Information Centre. Sophie Lauzon supervises the operation of the museum, which is owned by the Vankleek Hill and District Historical Society. She said more people have been visiting the museum this summer. “We’re seeing more people than we have since COVID,” Lauzon said.

The Vankleek Hill Agricultural Society wants the public to be aware of vendor and ticket scams involving the 2026 Vankleek Hill Fair. The Society is aware that someone posing as a representative of the Vankleek Hill Agricultural Society is posting messages on social media inviting businesses owners to apply to be vendors at this year’s fair, which takes place from August 13 to 16. The person doing this is in no way affiliated with the Vankleek Hill Agricultural Society.

One of Vankleek Hill’s landmark historic sites has the scoop for summer. On Saturday August 1, children aged 15 and under can come to the Higginson Tower and receive a coupon for a free ice cream cone from The Broken Kettle Bakery and Barkery at 54 Main Street East in Vankleek Hill.
