1. Introduction Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA), has been reported to have a hepatocyte origin [1] and is an adenocarcinoma that begins in the bile ducts. Most CCA patients are diagnosed with an advanced and aggressive malignancy that cannot be treated with surgery alone [2]. Targeted therapy is an interesting treatment for improving overall survival and decreasing the undesirable adverse effects of cancer treatment. This treatment uses drugs that bind to a specific protein in cancer [3].
